02 Jul Spotlight on Staff: Q&A With Torie Baldwin
Introducing OPCA’s Administrative Coordinator
Name, title, and preferred pronouns: Torie Baldwin, Administrative Coordinator, she/her
What are 2-3 things we should know about you as a person? I love to dance. Pre-pandemic I would go out to Argentine tango a couple times a month and now I’m starting to explore salsa. I also love old-fashioned flavors, like oatmeal raisin and molasses cookies. I’m the only person I know who likes black licorice ice cream.
What are 2-3 things we should know about your role at OPCA? I support the APCM program, the Social Determinants of Health newsletter, the Data Team, the Policy Team, and the Value Based Pay Committee. I help with scheduling, minutes, and any administrative tasks these teams might need.
What OPCA value do you identify with most and why? OPCA values are social justice, integrity, collaboration, innovation, data driven. I identify most with social justice and collaboration because these two values are ones that are central in how I try to lead my life outside of work. I believe in working towards a society that’s more equitable for all members and that doing so is only meaningful if done with others.
What excites you about the work you do at OPCA? I am excited to be contributing to efforts to provide meaningful care to to those that need it, to those that aren’t served well by the traditional model of the American health care system.
Anything else you want to share? I’m from Oregon and one of my travel bucket list items is to visit every one of its counties.
